Pilgrimage Tour
There
are these four places, Ananda, which the believing man should visit with
feelings of reverence and awe.
Which are the four?
The
place, Ananda, at which the believing man can say, 'Here the Tathagata
was born'.
The
place, Ananda, at which the believing man can say, 'Here the Tathagata
attained to supreme and perfect insight'.
The
place, Ananda, at which the believing man can say, 'Here was the Kingdom
of righteousness set on foot by the Tathagata'.
The
place, Ananda, at which the believing man can say, 'Here the Tathagata
passed finally away in that utter passing away which leaves nothing whatever
to remain behind.'

The
four sacred sites: Lumbini, Bodh Gaya,
Sarnath and Kushinagar constitute the
Dharma Yatra. Although the order of place has its relevance,
it is not advisable to visit the places in sequential order in which they
have been arranged as it is not practical and is cost/time inefficient
for travellers.
The following
itinerary is a suitable program and has been typically designed for the
Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour. |

to visit Rajgir and Nalanda. Evening drive back to Bodh Gaya for overnight

Visit
all the Monasteries in Bodh Gaya. O/N in Bodh Gaya. |

Drive
to Varanasi in the morning. O/N in Varanasi. |

Visit
the Ganges and local market. O/N in Varanasi. |

Sightseeing
of Sarnath. O/N in Varanasi. |

to Kushinagar. Overnight in Kushinagar. |
