Tibetan
Astrology is one of the five secondary
sciences in Tibet. It concerns not only
divination, but it is also used in the
study of time cycles, Tibetan chronology
and the compilation of the calendar. The
calendar in the form of an almanac is
still quite important in the daily life
of the Tibetans to ensure that their daily
activities are in tune with the cosmos.
TIBETAN ASTRO IN GENRAL LIFE :
1) the birth of a child; 2) the time of
marriage, 3)when an illness does not respond
to regular treatments, and 4) death. 5)
Start New Project or Change of House.
THE BIRTH OF CHILD :
When a child, is born, Tibetan parents
are very eager to know about the child's
future to able to plan child's education,
guide them occupational field they are
best suited for. Where ever any unfavourable
situations are predicted then antidote
for preventing mishaps is prescribed.
Antidotes are such as performing prayers
or doing compassionate such as giving
alms to poor and needy people, or if the
child's life is in danger then preventative
measures can be taken saving the life
of an animals such as sheep, a goat, or
a fish.
FOR MARRIAGE : From this
calculation, the astro-practitioner can
predict the marriage lifespan, Compatibility
between the couples, economic standards,
health conditions and the number of children
they will have.
TO START NEW PROJECT :
Tibetans take advice from astro-practitioners
when they want to change residence, start
an important project, begin a journey,
or attain smooth and peaceful achievement
of their goals. Once more, it is within
the role of the astro-practitioner to
give guidance in determining the favourable
time and day for any important transition.
If an unavoidable and unfavourable event
has commenced, antidotes will be suggested
such as reading holy texts and giving
alms to the poor and needy.
DEATH : The calculation
here directs us about the rituals that
have to be followed so that the soul of
the dying person rest in peace and the
‘Atma’ gets direction for the next life.
The Astro calculation prescribes when
the body should be moved from the room
(or house), who can or cannot touch the
body (Clash of stars between the two personalitie
s), the direction in which the body must
be moved and positioned, and which prayers
the family must perform. What Thankas
one has to make in the name of the dying
person
Our objective is to help all those who
wish to follow these rituals but are not
able to do so because of some reason.
We hope that we will be able to bridge
the gap between the busy world and the
spiritual world. |
