The mission of this website is to promote the true masters of Tibetan Buddhism and provide their teachings to people. Tibetan Buddhism is spread all over the world today with more than 200 million adherents of Mahayana and Vajrayana Traditions.

With bigger growth comes bigger responsibilities. Thousands of people flock every year to attend the teachings by Tibetan Lamas (wherever they are held). Their contribution in social, spiritual, arts, philosophy and religious spheres have had immense impact in the lives of people. At the same time, there have also been a few cases of malpractices by people calling themselves lamas and playing with dedicated people's sentiments. Such practices are said to be extremely serious and sinful.

To counter such practices and to further promote the true masters, Tibetanlama.com is committed to guiding people with correct, factual and exclusive collection of teachings. These teachings are collected by our own team and edited in our own studio and finally transmitted through our website. These teachings are available in the form of text, audio and video.

The Project was started in September, 2001 with permissions from Private Office of H.H. the Dalai Lama and The Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration of H.H. the Dalai Lama. It consists of a team of Eleven people :
